No. BatApp eliminates the need for expensive radar equipment. All you need is the app and a line of sight to home plate and the field. We want to make exit velocity tracking accessible to everyone.
BatApp costs $2.99 USD (the price varies slightly by country). This is a one-time purchase with no subscriptions or hidden fees.
The aerodynamic model of BatApp is calibrated for a standard baseball, but it can be used for a softball. The exit velocity error for softball usage is less than 1 mph for a 12” circumference softball and less than 0.5 mph for an 11” ball.
BatApp supports any iPhone or iPad with iOS 15.1 or later installed.
BatApp works at any field. Field size differences can make it harder to determine distances accurately. Our map view takes this into account.
Yes. BatApp works offline after the map has been loaded once.
